Cataloged below are a number of archive webs installed here on johntedwards.com. These sample webs are provided to illustrate some of the design work I have done over the past 5 years.
Merchantprince
This site you are visiting right now is my Wordpress blog. I have installed Wordpress to three servers so far and have gained experience within the past 6 months on all manner of WP plugins. I am now skilled in streaming both audio and video from a Wordpress site and have built a catalog of fine themes for this type of database-driven web.
PeterAcker.com
Pete Acker is a professional drummer currently living in LA. This site is a static HTML layout with my own graphics and template design.
KimEdwardsOnline
My sister’s web site and blog for her music career. This is also a Wordpress blog with the identical plugins as installed on johntedwards.com. The blog theme was one of many I have cataloged for use with my own blog projects and for those of other users.
Faith Christian Center
This is the site for my parent’s church. It was designed a couple of years ago and I wanted to give them something stately and conservative. All text and header graphics are my own design using Xara 3D. Note that this web is a “framed” site, a style little-used nowadays. It was specifically formatted to be viewed equally well in either 4:3 or widescreen format, from 800×600 resolution up to 1440×900 resolution.
LaserX
From 2001-2005, I marketed a very popular ebook which described how to turn an ordinary cathode-ray television into a projection home theater using just $20 worth of supplies. This web was a static HTML design featuring javascript rollover menu buttons and sub-10-second load times on 56K for all pages (a must for ecommerce sites at that time).
Silvervan
Silvervan was an all-Flash site I designed three years ago for a local contractor. This web features a midi file embedded and internal flash links for the business email contact.
Earthprofit Foreclosure
During 2006, Earthprofit retasked to market a published course system for making money in real estate foreclosure-stopping. This web is designed to be viewable in any monitor size or format.
Hunter RPG Campaign
This was the site I designed for a gaming group some years ago. Some of the external links might be out-of-date, but the site itself and all it’s content is intact. This design boasted features such as a crosshair cursor and colored scrollbars in IE. Again, all text and header graphics are my own design.
Mummy RPG Campaign
Another gaming site I designed was for a Mummy-themed game some years back. The original layout was derived from a friend’s design and then modified by me for this particular project. All text and link graphics used for headers and navigation are my own design.
It is my expectation that the above-mentioned webs will serve as a fine example of my past work and what skills I may possess for a position at PTD.
