My Favorite Movies
I have accumulated just over 100 DVDs. Some of my favorite movies are listed below. Almost all are in my DVD collection:
| Sci Fi/Fantasy | Action Adventure |
| Excalibur X-Men The Road Warrior Blade Runner Conan the Barbarian Starship Troopers Lord of The Rings Aliens Spider-Man |
True Romance The Bourne Identity Ronin Braveheart Gladiator Blackhawk Down Master & Commander Kill Bill, Vo. 1 & 2 |
| Horror | Comedy |
| Dog Soldiers The Ring John Carpenter’s Vampires The Ninth Gate Brotherhood of the Wolf Dagon |
Bring It On Dumb and Dumber There’s Something About Mary Monty Pythons’ The Holy Grail Mean Girls |
My Top 3 All-time Favorites:
True Romance - A fun, great movie with excellent pacing and a panoply of richly-drawn characters. Written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott (brother of my fave director Ridley Scott), this movie made me want to drive across America with Patricia Arquette and never look back.
Highlander - My original favorite from High School. The only good movie in this franchise was the first one. All the sequels and TV shows only took away from the simple poetry of the original story: “Who wants to live forever?”
Gladiator - Without a doubt, Gladiator was the best all-around Guy Movie I’ve seen since the heyday of the early 80s (think The Road Warrior and Conan the Barbarian). Every scene of this movie reeks of coolness; “Strength and Honor” indeed.
