New Casino Royale HD Trailer
The new Bond film has really stirred up a lot of controversy with its “reset” of the franchise back to the original ‘origin’ story of James Bond, Casino Royale. The casting of fair-haired, kinda thugsy-looking Daniel Craig (Layer Cake, Munich) outraged purists, while others chastised the Broccolis for trying to chase the Bourne audience.
Well, it looks like they were wrong. Yeah, I know it’s just a trailer. But I’m pretty good at seeing through sucky films disguised by kickass trailers and trust me – this is a kickass trailer for a kickass movie.

TOO BAD that Daniel Craig isn’t cute. He really isn’t. He may be this amazing gun-toting, sharp-shooter, kick-your-face-off kind of guy, but he’s no Pierce Brosnan. No sirree. He looks old to me already.
Meanwhile, who’s writing the song for this movie?

Hey, squirt! Although Brosnan is the Man, I still think this will be good. I have not heard anything about the theme song. Maybe they really are going Old School and just using the original theme.

ever since craig’s debut in casino royale in 2006, many bond enthusiasts (including myself) are quite disspointed with the new bond, simply because craig has this ‘anti-hero’ aura. as an audience, you are tempted with the idea that he should have been the perfect antagonist in a james bond movie! even i, myself was an anti-fan of craig! but, 2 years later,(nov 2008) when the bond 22 film was realeased in theaters worldwide, i was taken aback by the ‘realistic, no smart-ass sci-fi gadgets, absolutely kick-ass’ style of the craig bond films. this time, i’m now a converted believer that he should be the new bond. in fact, he has 4 films in his contract left! to the broccolis, i must say, it’s a very brave move & a job well done.
to be honest, i’m a huge fan of pierce brosnan. but i love this new bond as an agent who is more human, darker, bolder, sharper & colder. i luv that! =) & i can’t wait for bond 23 (in 2010 or 2011)! =)

erratum: daniel craig has actually 2 bond films left, since he signed for a total of 4 films: 1st is casino royale, 2nd is quantum of solace, 3rd is bond 23 & 4th is bond 24. tnx! =)
