Indiana Jones 4 Coming May 2008!

George Lucas said Friday that filming of the long-awaited Indiana Jones 4 will begin next year with Harrison Ford set to star again. Lucas said he and Steven Spielberg recently finalized the script for the film.

“It’s going to be fantastic. It’s going to be the best one yet,” the 62-year-old filmmaker said during a break from preparing for his duties as grand marshal of Monday’s Rose Parade.

Exact film locations have not been decided yet, but Lucas said part of the movie will be shot in Los Angeles.

The fourth chapter of the “Indiana Jones” saga, which will hit theaters in May 2008, has been in development for over a decade with several screenwriters taking a crack at the script, but it only recently gained momentum.

Lucas kept mum about the plot, but said that the latest action flick will be a “character piece” that will include “very interesting mysteries.”

Steven Spielberg says that the film will feature all of Jones’ former babes in various cameo roles. Karen Allen is expected to be back for one soundbite, and other Indy girls who had smaller roles will be coming back. It is still up in the air whether or not Kate Capshaw, Spielberg’s wife, will make an appearance. Sean Connery as Indy’s father will be back for a few scenes, and the film is set in the early ’50s.

“I think it’s going to be really cool,” Lucas said.

At the inaugural Rome Film Festival in October, the 64-year-old Ford said he was excited to team up with Lucas and Spielberg again for the fourth “Indiana Jones” installment. Ford said he was “fit to continue” to play the title role despite his age.

What Gender Is Your Brain?

Take this fun test to see if you think like a man or a woman. It’s the Friday between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I’m assuming you have nothing better to do.

There is a growing body of evidence about the differences between men and women when it comes to the organisation of their brains. Some of the cognitive tasks are better performed by women, and some are better suited for men.

Hell hath no fury like this crazy chick

Some guy picked the wrong girl to cheat on. This freak parks her truck on a busy street in downtown NYC and then proceeds to smash all the boyfriend’s expensive stuff on the sidewalk. She smashes his laptop, but at least has the decency to give away the flat screen TV to a bystander.

New Grind House Trailer!

The new Grind House trailer has hit the net, and it is amazing. I don’t think it’s possible to have as much fun watching a trailer. Both Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s feature length films look incredible. And Kurt Russell… he looks and sounds like he was meant to be in a Tarantino film.

I can’t wait for April 6, 2007. Two kick ass movies, back to back, for the price of one. It doesn’t get any better than that. “Only at the grind house”.

Hey, where’s Santa?

If you (or some small people you know) want to track Santa on Christmas Eve, bookmark this link.

Thanks to some very advanced radar technology, NORAD is able to pinpoint St. Nick’s whereabouts … and they anticipate he’ll be departing the North Pole in about one day and 16 hours.

Dexter – My Favorite New Show

Just wanted to take a moment and let everyone know that, along with Heroes on NBC, I have another favorite new show. This one is so good I found myself actually affected by it like no other show in years.

The season finale just aired and I’m still thinking about it. It is a masterfully written show and arguably the best I’ve seen in as long as I can remember. This first season has been phenomenal and I can’t imagine how they’ll top it for next year.

Official Dexter Homepage

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 2, 2006)

SHOWTIME has ordered a second season of its freshman drama DEXTER, starring Emmy®- and Golden Globe®-nominated actor Michael C. Hall (“Six Feet Under”), it was announced today by Robert Greenblatt, Showtime President of Entertainment. DEXTER premiered last month to widespread critical acclaim and ranks as SHOWTIME’S top-rated series. Production is set to begin on 12 new episodes next spring and will premiere on SHOWTIME later in 2007. The series follows Dexter Morgan (Hall), an incredibly likeable forensics expert for the Miami Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer.

DEXTER has been one of the most talked about and critically lauded new series of the year. Said New York Magazine in its review last month: “…horrifying, intoxicating, seductive and thrilling, all at the same time.” The Boston Globe’s Matthew Gilbert proclaimed, “This fiendishly excellent new Showtime series turns blood splatter into a pop art form, like Jackson Pollock meets Annie Leibovitz.” Additionally, Time and People magazines both named DEXTER one of the best new series of the fall season.

DEXTER is based on the compelling novel “Darkly Dreaming Dexter” by Jeff Lindsay, a South Florida native. Orphaned at the age of four and harboring a traumatic secret, Dexter is adopted by a police officer who recognizes Dexter’s homicidal tendencies and guides his son to channel his gruesome passion for human vivisection in a constructive way – by killing those heinous perpetrators who are above the law or who have slipped through the cracks of justice.

A respected member of the police force, a perfect gentleman and a man with a soft spot for children, it’s hard not to like Dexter. Although his drive to kill is unflinching, he struggles to emulate normal emotions he doesn’t feel, and to keep up his appearance as a caring, socially responsible human being.

Wii Can’t Help But Laugh At This Girl

I always find it cute when a girl who doesn’t play video games makes her controller *jump* when she wants the character on the screen to jump. It’s adorable. This, on the other hand, is not. It’s terrifying. The woman in this video is either playing a boxing game on Nintendo Wii or fending off an invisible rapist, it’s hard to tell. But either way, it’s hilarious.

Just Opened MySpace Account

After considering it for weeks and weeks, I finally decided to open a MySpace account. I haven’t linked to anyone yet, but I do think it’s cool the way they have searchable links for where you went to school and so forth. If anyone wants to link up, check me out at the link below.

Anyway, I put together some info for the questionnaire, but I’m pretty much going to use the account to direct traffic here. After all, all the cool people are already coming here anyway, right? Right!

Neil Young – It’s a Dream

Heard “It’s a Dream” recently on a rerun of Saturday Night Live. Some years ago, Neil Young was the musical guest and performed this live, from his album Prairie Wind.

The song is quite beautiful, delicate and gossamer-like, the way an old memory often is in our minds.
