Well here it is: another day that will live in infamy. It’s finally April 2, 2007, and I can mark the passing of yet another year. Today is the big 3-9, which means it’s exactly one year until the official Worst and Most Depressing Day of My Entire Life. Next year at this time, I’m sure I will be despondent beyond words, as I hit the worst milestone I think anyone my age can hit: 40.

It is fitting, as I sit here in the office staring at my laptop for the umpteenth time, that it is yet another gray overcast day in northeast Pennsylvania. It is cold and miserable, like so many other days and so many other birthdays in Pennsylvania have been.

I contemplate what I must do to earn money and how I can get my life turned around again. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been daydreaming about sailboats again and getting back on the water. I even watched this auction on eBay. Simply because it was a 38-foot Irwin Center Cockpit (great cruising boat!). If fixed up, what a beautiful boat this would be.

Anyway, I’m still inching along on fumes, with barely enough money to cover this month’s bills. I know I ought be making preparations to put the car up for sale, but it still needs some minor work. The only way I’m going to free up any capital is by selling the Spyder. What a sad day.

Oh well, that’s enough birthday cheer and cake for you guys! Hippy-hooray for me!

UPDATE: A few hours later, the sun came up and the temp went up to 73. Hooray! I’m out to take a drive…
