Islam Is a System

300POPE_kashmir_ap416_1.jpg

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system.  Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.  Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called ‘religious rights.’

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to the ‘reasonable’ Muslim demands for their ‘religious rights,’ they also get the other components under the table. Here’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone.

In fact, they may be featured in articles and films and stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States — Muslim 1.0%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1%-2%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

Denmark — Muslim 2%
Germany — Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%
Spain — Muslim 4%
Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

Highlander Remake is Coming

TheKurgan.jpg

One of the most durable franchises in popular culture (for both good and ill) has been that which began with the seminal cult classic Highlander. The 1986 sci-fi hit which starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and one of the best villains in Clancy Brown, is one of my all-time favorites. Now Hollywood is doing the remarkable by remaking it and apparaently they are going top drawer, having hired the writers from Iron Man, fresh off that movie’s success.

Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse Trailer

dollhouse_trailer_04_1.jpg

OK, it looks like I finally may have gotten my laptop all the way back – and it only took 10 days and three hard drive reformats! Oh well, the fourth time’s the charm, I guess, and I’ll be hoping to dodge any virii long enough to get back to posting regularly.

And today I got a beaut for ya, courtesy of Popoholic:

A trailer for Joss Whedon’s upcoming Fox TV show Dollhouse, starring Eliza Dushku, has finally been released and it looks pretty damn good. Then again this is Joss (Buffy, Firefly) Whedon we’re talking about so there’s no way it’s going to be bad. And having super hottie Eliza Dushku run around in tank tops and other assortment of flimsy outfits doesn’t hurt the show, either.

Unfortunately, Fox has decided to debut the show during midseason – which means it’ll probably be canceled by episode number four. Stupid, stupid Fox.

Iron Man Widescreen Wallpapers

Saw Iron Man this past weekend and really thought it was great. Best event film I’ve seen in some months (most end up underwhelming, unfortunately). Great job by all involved, particularly Robert Downey, Jr. Great to see a Gen Xer can still kick some ass on the big screen.

Anyway, I grabbed these high-resolution walls for your desktop. Click each thumbnail for a big blowup to save (close button is lower right):

50 Most Memorable Movie Cars

50_cars_header2_2.jpg

My laptop’s been hosed since I last posted and I haven’t been able to get it all the way back yet. But I did want to take a moment and feature Rotten Tomatoes’ recent compilation of the most famous movie cars.

I don’t agree with some of the list, of course. There are cars among their honorable mentions which should have made the list and others that did which should have been higher. Still, it’s pretty fun to go back and see not only your favorites again, but also some great four-wheeled characters you may have forgotten.

Proof Humanity is Doomed

front_psyche_front.jpg

Psychologists know you have to be careful when you go poking around the human mind because you’re never sure what you’ll find there. A number of psychological experiments over the years have yielded terrifying conclusions about the subjects.

Oh, we’re not talking about the occasional psychopath who turns up. No, we’re talking about you. The experiments speak for themselves:

Learning to Trade Commodities

It’s been quite a loooong while since I posted a journal on what’s been happening in my personal life. One possible explanation for that is the whole me-not-having-anything-going-on-in-my-personal-life thing. I’ve been in a holding pattern for over a year now and it’s been fairly depressing to reflect on that fact in this blog.

I never understood how people make seemingly uneventful entries in their blogs on a regular basis. I always feel some need to entertain you guys. I’m not sure why. What have you guys ever done for me? I mean, really, how selfish can you people be?

Ah, well. In any event, I do have one cool thing to share with you. I’ve always been interested in trading commodities – even took a class many years ago. But I always felt that I needed a certain amount of capital to do it. Regrettably, even when I did have the capital, I always ended up using it for other things like crack and whores.

But now I’m really going to jump in. I’m taking two introductory courses and trying out the trial software for Track ‘n Trade Pro. I’ll paper trade for a bit and let you guys know how I’m doing with ‘virtual money’ – before I ever start trading the real thing.

Hey, there’s something you could do: Send me money and I’ll make us both rich. Deal? Awesome.

The Feeling – Love It When You Call

audio_the_feeling_2.jpg

Heard this great song on a movie soundtrack a couple of weeks ago and I had to hunt it down. Now I listen to it all the time and it’s really got me turned onto this cool band, “The Feeling”. They claim both Queen and ELO as influences, but I hear a lot of Fountains of Wayne and just a lot of great Britpop sound.

Whatever their sound is, I like it and want to hear more!

Hancock Trailer

hancock_trailer2_01.jpg

This is the next big Will Smith movie and I have to confess I hadn’t heard anything about it till now. Smith plays the world’s most dysfunctional superhero and I have to say the trailer looks great.
