Picture Thursday

With plans underfoot for myself and a number of friends to once again attend the Pa Ren Faire, I thought it might be cool to share some photos taken from previous faire visits. See you there!

I just discovered pictures from the 2006 Faire came out too blurry to post here, but I did have some pictures from when a few of us went last year:
Looking forward to posting more pics (and maybe videos) of the 2008 version in the coming weeks. Huzzah!
I love these parody posters of all those famous inspirational posters often found in workplace environments. It’s a slow day and I’m working on other posts, but check these out for a laugh in the meantime.

And my personal favorite, the one I’m going to start using on as many forums as possible:

Saw Iron Man this past weekend and really thought it was great. Best event film I’ve seen in some months (most end up underwhelming, unfortunately). Great job by all involved, particularly Robert Downey, Jr. Great to see a Gen Xer can still kick some ass on the big screen.
Anyway, I grabbed these high-resolution walls for your desktop. Click each thumbnail for a big blowup to save (close button is lower right):

How about Thursdays being ‘cartoon day’ on Merchantprince? Sound like fun? Well, maybe…

I wanted to migrate over many of the photos of friends and family from the old web site. Rather than individual blog categories, these are simply cataloged in one-shot posts here, in the Photo Gallery section.
This is the second batch of photos I’ve scanned and archived here. Unfortunately, none are necessarily high-resolution, but they are decent enough quality for regular-size web images.

This is my best friend from college, Mark Braun. Mark’s family was from New Jersey and he and I attended Moravian College from 1990 to 1992. We also went across the country to San Diego over the summer of 1991 and had some pretty amazing adventures.
I miss the dude, and have no idea what became of him.

Above are Bruce and Lorraine. Bruce Walters was my best friend in High School and he married Lorraine some time after graduation. They had two kids together, but subsequently divorced.
Bruce managed various nightclubs and restaurants in the area until he moved away a few years back. He supposedly wants nothing to do with any of his friends from growing up.

Here’s a picture of us all in happier times. Lorraine was famous for her endowments and Bruce wanted a picture of us molesting her. That’s what friends are for!
And, yes kids, that’s Yours Truly on the right. I certainly enjoyed my Bon Jovi phase (which lasted about 15 years!).

And above is another favorite of mine. This is one of Mark and I (or perhaps just me) absolutely tripping balls back in college. We had a blast and I’m still pretty certain those walls were melting.
Happy Hump Day, everybody!
Here are some new promotional images of the sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean. The third part of the trilogy is called Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. Some of these may be used in the in the movie poster artwork. Others are just theater cards.
Pretty cool! I really enjoyed the first movie, but thought the second one was a little silly. Hopefully the final part of the trilogy brings it all together.

Decided I’d take a moment over this weekend to put up some cool, hi-res wallpapers of the new Ghost Rider movie coming out soon, starring Nicolas Cage. Don’t know how good the movie will be, but these walls sure are righteous. Put ‘em up on your PC at work and dare Lumbergh to give you any crap about your TPS reports.
