Character Background

(Written by Wren)

Luke and Janet de Carabis

Fergus was born on December 8th, 1978 in Marle, France, the first and only child of Luke Nasir De Carabis and Janet Caimbeul. The young couple had met in New York at College. Luke was a Business major. Janet studied astrology. How the couple met was known only to them. They eventually married on March 6th, 1978.

Fergus grew up in his father's estate slightly spoiled, as he was the only child. His mother would often take him with her whenever she went home to visit her family.

He loved his mother and loved watching and helping her look at the stars. A few weeks after his ninth birthday, Fergus came home one day to find his mother and father crying. She had been diagnosed with cancer.

In less then 4 years, his mother was dead.

When his mother's Will was read, it stated she wished to be buried un-embalmed in her family's mausoleum. It also decreed that Fergus should inherit her wedding ring. He wears it now, but on the opposite hand.

After watching his mother die, Fergus slowly started to bond with his father as he had bonded with her. His father has become a sad recluse since then, staring at the picture of his wife for hours on end. He emerges only to talk to his son or manage his home and business interests.

By the time Fergus entered college, he had sworn off falling in love. He wished to never endure what his father had.

So Fergus became the opposite of his parents. He saw no use for love and used people only to get what he wanted. While at college, he majored in Thanatology with minors in both Astrology and Meteorology.
